Financial Considerations
We understand that navigating through the
insurance process today can be quite challenging. Our goal is to
facilitate this process and make it as simple and painless as
possible. Staff at the Garrison Center help each patient determine
their insurance coverage, communicate with their company, and fill
out all the necessary paperwork for the smoothest possible process.
If you do not have insurance coverage for obesity surgery, we work
with you to arrange a workable financial plan to pay for your
surgery.
You should be aware that in addition to paying for your surgery, you
should plan a budget for post surgical needs including:
- time off from work immediately after
surgery,
- new and different types of food,
- vitamin supplements,
- new clothes or shoes (although our
clothing exchanges will help reduce this cost),
- expenses associated with travel to
follow-up visits, and
- any expenses associated with your
fitness plan, such as gym membership.

A word about the pre-surgical process
The Garrison Center is here to help you not
only with the medical aspects of losing weight, but with ALL the issues
required for your success. Many patients need assistance during the
pre-surgical process of obtaining clearances from physician
specialists and authorizations from their insurance companies.
A special team of experts at the Garrison Center is
dedicated to facilitating this process for you. Whereas it commonly takes
several months to complete all the pre-surgical steps at other centers,
patients at the Garrison Center can expect just three weeks between their
initial consultation and authorization for surgery.
