Dr. Garrison performs only laparoscopic surgery for weight loss. Rather than making a large abdominal incision as in open procedures (top), minimal access Lap Band or Roux-en-Y procedures are done through multiple small incisions, through which tiny instruments are inserted (bottom). This affords patients a much faster and easier recovery and excellent cosmetic results.
